DOOL spoilers reveal that Chanel and Allie’s romance was brought up when EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), Sami DiMera (Alison Sweeney), and Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) learned about the marriage. Chanel admitted that she and Allie did explore their feelings for each other and even kissed. However, Chanel made it clear that they realized they love each other as friends and nothing more. Chanel seemed to truly believe this and her words appeared to be genuine.

When Johnny and Chanel tell Allie and Tripp their wedding news, they once again get a bad reaction. Chanel was hoping for more support considering Allie is her best friend. What makes the situation even worse is that Allie makes up excuses why she is against the marriage. However, Johnny calls out his sister and accuses her of being jealous she can’t have Chanel to herself.

Later, Allie realizes she made a huge mistake. Allie and Tripp decide to apologize to Johnny and Chanel. To make things right, they bring champagne since it is New Year’s Eve.
