The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Christine Blair Has Terrible News

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) first called Abby telling her she had some news about Chance in a recent episode of The Young and The Restless. Abby’s mom, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) was with her at the time, playing with baby Dominic Chancellor (uncast character). Abby, ever the optimist, had assumed that Christine had good news but wondered why she felt she had to come over to deliver it in person. Ashley was cautiously optimistic but viewers could tell that she was concerned. It could not help but bring to mind scenarios of slain soldiers, policemen, firemen, and other first responders killed on the job whose superiors delivered the terrible news to their loved ones in person. Indeed, when Christine arrived and delivered the news, it was not what Abby had wanted to hear or had expected; she remained somewhat in denial although tears came. Christine told her that the last place that Chance was supposed to have been was bombed, although nobody had been found or identified.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Christine Blair Tries To Get More Details As Personal Items Of Chance Chancellor’s Are Found

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will witness poor Abby and her whole world falling apart, as Christine tries to get more information from personnel on the scene. Abby is still hoping that since nobody was found or identified yet that Chance was not there or made it out alive somehow. Ashley obviously must have called Devon Hamilton, (Bryton James) Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) because they arrive as Christine is in the other room making calls.

Christine returns and has grim news that some of Chance’s belongings have been found and identified. Devon, Mariah, and Tessa surround Abby for support as Ashley are likely still caring for the baby. Viewers of The Young and The Restless can imagine how Abby is overwhelmed when her worst fears appear to be coming true! She has a brand new baby Chance has never met or even seen photos of, she hasn’t heard anything from him for months, and she was hoping Christine would say he was returning from his mission! Abby’s absolutely losing it by this point, but still, in enough denial that she has to see one hundred percent proof that Chance is really gone – she can’t quite bring herself to say “dead”!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Christine Blair Receives Possibly Gruesome Photos From The Scene

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that even before Devon, Mariah and Tessa arrived she was telling Ashley and Christine that she would know it inside herself had Chance been killed! Of course, that is her denial speaking and not her soul or her heart. Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that is normal, and denial is the first of the five stages of grief. At that point, Abby is still perhaps forcing herself to believe that somehow, someway Chance could still be alive and eventually coming home to her and Dominic! But then, Christine returns with photos from the scene of the bombing that contacts at the scene sent her, and Abby’s reaction to them implies they may be gruesome – and perhaps even includes Chance’s remains. There is a particular shot that overwhelms Abby so badly that she collapses!
