The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that a huge casting bombshell has dropped regarding a fan fave character. EW.com broke the news that the character of Dr. Taylor Hayes will now be played by Krista Allen (ex-Billie, DAYS).

There had been no indication of such a drastic move with soap vet Hunter Tylo originating the part in 1990. She has appeared off and on in the role since that time.

In 2019 fans got their last view of the brunette shrink. To date, she was handling some challenging issues and presumably has now worked those out and feels comfortable enough to return to LA.

Of course, there is a huge reason for her to visit, she has a new grandson.

Krista Allen has worked as an actress, model, and stand-up comic. She had parts on Days of Our Lives, Baywatch Hawaii, and the erotic TV series Emmanuelle in Space. Her credits also include the Hollywood films Liar Liar with Jim Carrey and The Final Destination and the TV shows Two and a Half Men, The X-Files, Charmed, Smallville, and Married… with Children.

What Happens Next in LA?

Taylor is the mother of Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes) who just had a baby with John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Fans were speculating like mad about why Taylor had not returned to meet her new grandson. She has also not met Finn since theirs was a whirlwind romance. In fact, because of a paternity test mix-up, Steffy was about to leave the country when she thought Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was her baby daddy. Been there, done that.

Once everything was straightened out, Finn and Steffy went off to give birth in peace away from the chaos of LA. They are now back and must deal with new chaos, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) who is the recently surfaced bio mom of Finn.

Sheila is also the Forrester family’s worst enemy. Finn and Steffy have had conflict over Sheila and with Taylor in town she will also be a cog in this lively drama. Or is it possible Sheila and Taylor bond over being grandmothers? When hell freezes over!
