The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that Eric Forrester (John McCook) decided to open up to Katie Logan (Heather Tom). That came after she tearfully detailed Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) trials and travails.

Eric felt that Katie’s vulnerability allowed him to bear his soul. He felt that it was okay to share what his Queric status is with her.

While the above was playing out Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) were going wild. They learned about the continued existence of Quarter and decided to confront both halves of that non-public couple.

Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) acknowledged the obvious. The truth was spoken after he and Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) were stunningly confronted by Justin Barber (Aaron Spears) in the condominium bedroom.

Quinn heard the other man she loved to say that Eric’s endorsement of their so-called arrangement is ridiculous. While that is true, Carter is compelled to follow the directive of his longtime mentor and friend because he is in love with Quinn. Doing so also allows Carter to retain his employment at Forrester Creations and seat on the Board of Directors.

It is understood that Quinn broke her vows to Eric. However, he has put a number of people into impossible positions based on the decisions he has made in recent months.

Eric originally decided that he did not want to remain married to Quinn. He openly expressed that choice to Ridge and Brooke. They were relieved that he finally made that decision after years of encouraging him to cut ties with Sofer’s character. Bridge was being compassionate by helping Eric from that point in the plot through current episodes.

Then, for reasons that appear to be illogical because the facts are not fully known, Eric reverses course and has kept his thought process a secret. He has also become deeply defensive about the topic, especially when Ridge wants to talk to him about it.

Stress Needs To End

Quinn has the power to stop this madness. She can end her link to Carter and be Eric’s wife. Making that choice will involve sacrifice and the need to convince Eric that he is wrong in deciding what her needs are.

However, if Quinn is not able to do what is right, then Eric has the power to end this unsustainable situation as well. He can admit that Queric has not been working for a long time and should be no more.

Hopefully, the stress that all parties, including Carter, Bridge, and even Justin are experiencing ends soon. Quarter or Queric, but not both on B&B.
