EJ wants to have a relationship with Nicole. EJ has turned to Nicole when he had trouble with Xander and his son Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). EJ has found that he has started to rely on Nicole. EJ knows that Nicole has feelings for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Nicole has tried not to act on her feelings for Rafe because he is in a relationship with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). EJ wants Nicole to forget her feelings for Rafe and want to be with him. EJ asked Nicole to go on a date with him. EJ and Nicole encountered Steve and Dr. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
