The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was just beginning to soften her stance on Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). Then, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) confessed to hitting Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero) and everything changed on B&B.

Liam’s request to Thomas, that he looks out for Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and the children, was made under intense duress. While Liam was sincere, he didn’t consider and can’t be concerned with the implications of his ask.

Liam can’t be a father to Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) from inside the penitentiary. He knows that Hope can handle her care and has plenty of support. But that awareness also allows Liam to believe Thomas should play an increased role.

Thomas was surprised at the civility of the conversation he had with Liam in the visitor’s room at the prison. He was also impressed when Liam asked him to look out for the Lope family.

Clifton’s character has long been at odds with Thomas. But hitting Vinny changed Liam’s perspective, which includes trusting that Thomas can be part of Hope’s life without being disruptive.

Thomas has been trying, harder than he has in years, to be a better person. Even Brooke had to admit that he seemed to have stabilized himself.

Wanting the best for Hope resulted in Thomas genuinely wishing Liam well in recent months. Thomas lobbied for Lope to stay together and they have.

So, it made sense that Liam responded to Thomas’ respectful approach by asking him for help during this time of crisis. Thomas’ response and the fist bump on glass moment reflected the completion of the pendulum swinging in this storyline, as the characters switched places.

Brooke Logan Forrester Senses Danger

Brooke rightly believes that Liam’s request jeopardizes Hope’s stability beyond what’s already happened. She knows that Thomas’s very recent track record could evaporate in an instant.

Of course, Brooke’s concern about what Thomas’s increased presence in Hope’s life could mean will put her at odds with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). Her husband is Thomas’s enduring champion.

Ridge won’t be open to Brooke’s negative assertions, with this issue once again creating stress for Bridge. Kaye’s character will attempt to convince Brooke that Thomas is ready to accept increased responsibility.
