British royal family news reveals that the Sussexes are reportedly trying to rekindle their relationship with the rest of the royal family following the arrival of their second child, daughter Lilibet, who they welcomed earlier this month. The pair reportedly spoke to the Queen first thing after getting home from the hospital and introduced their newborn daughter, who bears the Queen’s nickname, to the Queen via the video call.

While the general public is yet to get a glimpse of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter, ET reported that a picture of the baby was shared on the royal family’s WhatsApp group, where extended family members often stay in touch.

After the arrival of their daughter, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they will be taking a five-month leave from work to concentrate on their family and their two young children.

The birth of their daughter reportedly heralded a new era for the Sussexes, as they’re now more open to conversations with the rest of the royal family instead of using them as tools to make catchy headlines.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seemingly realized that they’ve reached their peak when they started facing backlash and the threat of having their royal titles stripped, in order to allow them to live and enjoy life like any ordinary citizen.

In Prince Harry’s interview with Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, he made it clear that he despises his role as a prince and frequently wished that he’d been born without the title. His comments prompted Lady Campbell to start an online petition to strip the Sussexes of their titles so that they can live as ordinary people, but according to reports, sources close to the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she is wary of losing her title.

Even after stepping down with her husband as senior royals, Meghan Markle has continued to sign her name as the Duchess of Sussex.

“She’s told Harry that they need to tone down the attacks on the royal family – she’s afraid they’ll take away their royal titles, which would be a PR disaster,” the Insider said. “Right now, she’s inundated with offers, and that’s in part to being a Duchess.”

But with the birth of their daughter, the Sussexes have found a way to possibly begin a new leaf, one that would not find them at odds with the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge publicly congratulated the couple on the birth of their daughter, and according to reports, sent Lilibet a gift.

During a recent public appearance, Kate Middleton gushed about her newborn niece, saying, “I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her.” Responding to a question of whether she’s seen the baby through video calls, she answered, “We haven’t met her yet. I hope that will be soon.”
