The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Chloe Questioned About Adam – Chelsea’s Plan Is Unraveling

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had enough of her best friend. Chloe’s recent, sudden move out of the penthouse wasn’t part of Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) plan, which appears to be falling apart.

Framing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a dangerous gamble Chelsea made. But she was so incensed at his perceived plan to be with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that Egan’s character decided to exact deep revenge.

If successful, Adam will go to jail for attempting to murder Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Chadam not only ends in that outcome, but Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) life is damaged. That alone is proof Chelsea has lost her mind.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Enables Behavior

Sharon could have shut Adam down on numerous occasions after she committed to marrying Rey. But she didn’t.

Rey has all the evidence he needs. He’s accurately determined that his wife is incapable of pulling herself out of the Adam maelstrom. Rey hasn’t been able to overcome his deep doubt and is right to think that way.

Adam knows that Sharon has a soft spot in her heart. That area has widened exponentially in recent weeks, as she feels the need to protect a wrongly accused man.

Chloe Mitchell Drops Out

It’s obvious that something is very wrong when Adam’s fiercest rival drops out of a plan to get him. But that’s what Chloe did.

Egan’s alter ego couldn’t prevent the person who she used as an unknowing pawn from leaving the penthouse. As Chloe told Chelsea, Khloe is her priority.

Chloe had a baby in the recent past. She and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) have two children to take care of and that obligation is far more important than the latest games Chadam is playing.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Chelsea Lawson Is Reeling

Adam volunteered something interesting to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Prior to leaving the Newman Ranch Adam told his father that he didn’t want Chelsea to suffer any more than she already had.

Chelsea’s abduction and stroke were seemingly connected. Adam feels guilty about that, while also knowing that his connection with Sharon pushed Chelsea over the edge.

So, Adam’s dilemma is two-fold. He needs to prove his innocence, while also intending to not hold Chelsea responsible for poisoning Rey. That task is tougher considering Victor has no qualms about putting Chelsea away.
