General Hospital Spoilers – William Lipton Opens Up About The Trauma In Cameron’s Life
While there’s no doubt that fans felt absolutely gut-punched in the scenes where Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) told Cameron that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was dead, William says that he definitely felt a lot of emotions too, both on-screen and off.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, William says that he felt incredibly honored over the fact that the producers and the writers of the show would trust him with such important scenes, seeing how they were very difficult and everyone wanted to make sure that they were done right.
It’s a good thing that the young actor had so many amazing co-stars working with him that day. William recalled, “Becky was so amazing in those scenes and I felt like once I got the correct space and felt the sadness that Cameron needed to feel in that scene, it all tumbled out. I’ve had some practice before as Cameron has been through a lot as you know. Dev’s passing was so sudden, and so was Franco’s.”
General Hospital Updates – Cameron Wanted To See if Franco Was Really Dead
If that weren’t enough, Cameron also had some very intense scenes when he sneaked into the morgue hoping to prove that Franco wasn’t really dead, but of course, ended up seeing his body. William says there was an actually funny story that happened while he was practicing those scenes.
He said, “I remember one time when we were doing the scene, making sure everything’s okay, I opened it, and then Roger’s just lying there dead! I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what are you doing there?’ It was very freaky, and he was just there and like, ‘Yeah whatever.’ I was really freaked out!”
