The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will be forced to shift her focus from Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) disrespectful actions to her family’s concerns. Buzz indicates that Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) will contact Amanda seeking some form of immediate help.

It’s possible that Naya’s connection to Amanda is creating strife among the Benedicts. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) is not a fan of Amanda. So maybe she, or Naya’s as yet to be seen husband is stirring trouble? It’s also possible that legal expertise is being requested.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair’s Backstory Is Developing

Amanda came to town because Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) conned her into believing that Devon’s inheritance needed to be challenged. The resolution of that ruse then allowed Amanda to form a friendship with Devon and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

As time passed Elena became increasingly insecure about Devon’s feelings. She believed that Amanda was his destiny, based on part of her reveal as Hilary Hamilton’s (Morgan) twin sister.

Devon has since admitted that Elena’s instinct was generally right. The realization of Demanda means that an attraction existed between Devon and Amanda.

Devon Hamilton Remains Conflicted

Devon was confused by Amanda’s incredible appearance, meaning her physical resemblance to Hilary and the fact that she was in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But once the inheritance storyline was resolved, which included Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) write-out, a new arc took hold.

In truth, Devon still loves Elena and was falling in love with Amanda. He definitely cares about both women but is realizing that he didn’t want his relationship with Elena to end.

Amanda feels used by Devon because he’s been reassuring her that what he had with Elena was over. Now, the bracelet find reveals that the couple isn’t done. So Amanda has chosen to walk away from the start of Demanda, seeing it as the only choice she can make.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Naya Benedict’s Role Deepens

It was natural to expect an awkward beginning between Naya and the child she allowed to be put into the foster care system after birth. Amanda was rightly hurt by her mother’s perceived callousness but has come to grips with why the past played out as it did.

So, the next step in this mother-daughter relationship involves Naya seeking Amanda’s help. It feels like their connection will advance as a result, while also serving as a needed distraction from what Devon just put Amanda through.
