Sister Wives spoilers and updates tease that star Janelle Brown recently revealed her skin cancer diagnosis. Kody Brown’s wife says that she has basal cell carcinoma and that viewers had reached out to her after noticing a blemish about her lip in new scenes of the show. Here’s what she has to say.

Sister Wives Spoilers – Janelle Brown’s Skin Cancer Diagnoses: What This Means For The Rest Of The Family

Janelle took to her Instagram this week to share her story with her fans. She also posted a photo of herself in her car with a bandage above her lip. She wrote in her post, “Many of you have been noticing and reaching out to me about the blemish above my lip in the new episodes. I am posting this picture hopefully for awareness. I started to see what looked like a scar develop in an area on my lip where all of my cold sores for the past two decades have erupted. At first, I thought it was a new cold sore forming but then it never developed and just stayed. Over the next year or so it slowly increased in size. I started treating it with every scar medication I could find, thinking it was my body reacting to the years of trauma to that area of my face.”

Janelle went on to say that because of Covid, it took a few months before she could get an appointment with her doctor. Luckily, the blemish has now been removed and everything is back to normal. With that said though, Janelle is still urging everyone out there to wear sunscreen and to take care of their skin.

She continued, “This place on my face just looked like scar tissue and because I had cold sores there since my early 20s – it honestly did not occur to me to have it even looked at. I hope this share will be helpful to some. I am sharing to say that, even if it seems like it couldn’t be skin cancer, it doesn’t hurt to have your doctor look at it.”

Of course, this news is very concerning for not only Kody Brown, but for the rest of the sister wives, too, and for many different reasons. This year has been difficult enough with Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and fellow sister wife Meri Brown teasing one foot in and one foot out the door in their plural marriage. Can the family deal with yet another surprise like what Janelle had with her skin cancer? Needless to say, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
