General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Carly Joins Diane At The Courthouse In An Attempt To Free Jason

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will join Attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) at the courthouse in an attempt to free Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Has Gone Beyond The Call Of Duty For Jason Morgan

General Hospital viewers will recall that Carly has gone beyond the call of duty for Jason in recent episodes. She has taken his place as temporary head of the Corinthos Crime family in dealing with enemies, even meeting with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in an attempt to keep the leverage up concerning his mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott), and her location. It was Carly who had her moved from Mountain Landing Care Home in Vermont to one of the Corinthos safe houses in Port Charles, where her mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), and other discreet nurses took care of her.

Of course, her location is still a secret to Cyrus, although Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) had tracked her down. She likely has since been moved again to a different safe house. Carly cannot take chances of Cyrus’ minions discovering where she is, although he knows at least that she was alive and safe as of when Jackie published her interview with him, which was not favorable, to say the least!

Florence wants nothing to do with her eldest son! In the meantime, Cyrus had paid a witness to frame Jason for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder to add to Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) accusations of Jason! However, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) stepped up to the plate and revealed that his mother was the one who Cyrus paid off. Carly then laid into Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs)!

General Hospital Updates – Will Carly Corinthos’ Efforts Help Jason Morgan, Or Hurt His Case?

The trouble is, Carly doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone! Even though she and Diane go together to the courthouse, and Carly has even worked with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to free Jason, everything she has dug up may hurt Jason’s case and endanger others! For instance, Brando has been working as a double agent for the Corinthos family and Cyrus Renault!

Gladys told Renault that Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) wasn’t really Brando’s son and his papers were faked by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)! Carly would be an accessory to fraud if this were investigated by the immigration authorities even though everything is long ago said and done, and Dev is dead and Sonny is thought to be!

The authorities definitely would come after Carly, because although there is a statute of limitations on immigration fraud, it’s ten years! Anna also talked to Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) with doubts that Jason was the murderer – Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had much more of a motive, and Jordan agreed that Peter was pretty good at covering his tracks! No one knows yet that Cyrus and Peter have become a team, however.

But the case has progressed too much for Jordan to drop the charges without presenting new evidence, and all the evidence she has is Carly’s hearsay unless Brando testifies in court that his mother was paid to frame Jason by coming forward as a false eyewitness, and he is in a bind because she won’t think twice about revealing his complicity in Dev’s false immigration and neither will Cyrus! Diane and Carly will try to free Jason, but chances are, the judge won’t buy what they’re trying to sell!
