Good news for Disneyland fans, as beginning mid-March, visitors can return to Disney California Adventure Park for a limited, exclusive event.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many people are yearning for some fun, instead of being stuck at home. For those who are looking for a little adventure, the good news is that from mid-March, visitors will be able to head to Disney California Adventure Park for an exclusive, if very modified, experience.
In a letter to Cast Members, Disneyland Resort President, Ken Potrock wrote that it is currently planned, starting mid-March to debut an all-new, limited-time ticketed experience.
The new experience will be focused on Disneyland’s world-famous food and beverage offerings from around the resort. It will also offer the latest merchandise and unique, carefully crafted entertainment experiences. Potrock said this will be offered to visitors on multiple days during the week.
Visitors are assured that new health and safety protocols will be put in place, plus the event will likely have limited capacity to ensure social distancing. Potrock did say that, unfortunately, none of the park’s attractions or rides is expected to be running during the experience. However, he said they are anxious to see the unique entertainment which is being planned for the multi-day event.
In his letter, Potrock also offered an update to Avengers Campus. He said, “I’m pleased to report that Avengers Campus is making incredible progress.” He said that the attraction will include futuristic architecture, theatrical lighting, unique audio, creative food, beautiful costuming, and innovative merchandise. Potrock has assured that Avengers Campus will be an immersive experience that they know their guests are going to love. However, for now, they aren’t ready just yet to reveal Avengers Campus to the world.
Anyone following the progress will know that Avengers Campus was set to open in summer 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic led to the closure of the park’s doors during March. Since then, it has been almost a year since visitors could enjoy and experience the magic of Disneyland. However, at least now, there is a ray of hope, offering visitors to Disney California Adventure Park an exclusive, if modified experience.
Last year in November, Disney California Adventure started a new shopping experience. Even though the park was closed, the Disneyland Resort expanded its Downtown Disney District to include Buena Vista Street.
At that stage, guests were offered access to shopping at Elias & Co, where they can purchase Disney-themed décor and the latest holiday merchandise. Visitors were also offered the opportunity to grab photo albums, frames and other photographic essentials from the Kingswell Camera Shop. For those with a sweet tooth, Trolley Treats started offering classic candies, along with old-fashioned confections and a variety of freshly made treats.
Basically, despite the pandemic, opportunities are starting to open up for those weary of staying home and seeking an adventure, albeit in shopping and dining.
