Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) has fallen in love with his nephew! He’ll tell his father Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that he wants to be Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) father figure in an upcoming episode of Days of Our Lives!
Tripp will have an opportunity to get to know his nephew a little better when Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) has some problems with a very fussy Henry in upcoming episodes. He will happen to be there when Henry apparently doesn’t want to eat, and Allie may not know what to do. Chances are, he’s probably teething and maybe his gums are hurting and that’s why he doesn’t have as robust an appetite as he usually does.
Obviously, Days of Our Lives Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) isn’t in the apartment at the time but Tripp is; she may be meeting with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to go bring Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) back from Salem University Hospital, where plans maybe for her to stay there. That would be a good reason for Tripp to be at the apartment, waiting for his mother’s arrival. He takes the fussy Henry in his arms and asks a grateful Allie if he can try to get him to eat his baby food, which looks like it might be applesauce or vanilla pudding, or possibly strained pears.
Henry has stopped crying – that’s a plus, maybe Tripp has the magic touch with the little one. Allie has some experience with being around babies, but it’s more of the experience of being a big sister since she was only six years old when Johnny (Aaron and Griffin Kunitz) and Sydney DiMera (Berlyn and Brooklyn Baca) were born. It was more like having living baby dolls for her!
After successfully helping Allie with Henry, Tripp is absolutely in love with his little nephew! He goes to talk with his dad, Days of Our Lives Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and tells him about his experience with baby Henry. He tells him he wants to be a father figure playing an active role in Henry’s life. He wants to be everything to Henry that his real father, Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) would not be, and if he had his way Charlie would never get near Henry or Allie again! Steve is completely on board with that!
Tripp seems so excited, however, that Steve has to tell him to slow down a minute and remind him that Allie would have to make the decision to allow Tripp to be that much a part of Henry’s life! Tripp tells Steve that now that Allie knows it wasn’t him who raped her she has apologized, and he has accepted her apology and forgiven her, and Allie is glad to let Henry’s uncle see him frequently and maybe even help out with him more often! He tells him how Henry seemed to like him, too, because he quieted right down when he held him and he got him to eat when Allie couldn’t.
Tripp did get far enough with his medical studies to realize that Henry was teething, and promised to come back with a cooling teething ring for times when his gums hurt. Tripp had told Allie that during the teething period babies not only become fussier because of their little gums hurting, but quite often run a low-grade fever as well, but it is nothing to worry about – it’s normal. Steve remarks he might be a budding pediatrician, and although Tripp hadn’t gotten far enough in medical school to choose a specialty, he learned that he does enjoy babies!
