Big Sky Spoilers – Will Big Sky Be Back?

ABC’s novel drama Big Sky is based on C.J. Box’s 2013 novel, The Highway. It was created by tv-series genius David E. Kelley and premiered in November 2020. The cast includes Natalie Alyn Lind, Katheryn Winnick, and Kylie Bunbury.

But audience members are now wondering, when is the Big Sky episode 10 air date after discovering that episode 10 wasn’t scheduled in the series’ regular time slot this month.

The answer is that Big Sky is now on a break and episode 10 is scheduled to air on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021.

What Happened To Big Sky?

The natural question being asked by fans who are missing the show is, why is there a break? For one thing, the break will give the team time to wrap up production. Plus, Big Sky will air in May which is an important rating sweeps month. Got it?

Additionally, only 10 episodes were planned initially, but ABC ordered six more episodes after the first three episodes had finished airing. This was another delay, as the majority of the episodes were planned after the series premiere.

Impatient fans may be griping that this is the second time that the series has gone on a break and that’s true. There was a delay between episodes 5 and 6, at which time fans waited over one month to see ‘The Wolves Are Always Out for Blood.’

Big Sky Updates – Why Is The Show Being Interrupted?

Big Sky has 16 episodes in all so there are seven more epis to go. The good news is that the show was such a blockbuster hit that it is ABC’s most-watched and highest-rated debut since The Rookie.

But, even with all the buzz and ratings, ABC has not renewed Big Sky for a second season although an announcement is likely after the season finale. Still, it could be that even though the show has had great ratings, there is no way of knowing what comes next in terms of fan engagement. All of the delays take a toll on viewers’ interest so news of renewal may be premature.
