Princess Eugenie Opens Up About Lockdown Life During Pregnancy

Princess Eugenie is in the middle of her pregnancy and yes, another lockdown in the UK. The royal, who is expecting her first child with her husband Jack Brooksbank, is being cautious as possible, especially now that coronavirus cases have been on the rise in the UK. Here’s what you need to know.

This past week Eugenie opened up about her pregnancy and lockdown life in the UK during an interview with TogetherBanks charity ambassador Cameron Saul on Instagram Live. Eugenie also took the time to talk about modern slavery during the pandemic. The Princess is co-founder of the Anti-Slavery Collective charity and recently took part in a live chat with another charity ambassador.

Eugenie started off the conversation by saying,

“Lockdown’s been OK for me. I can’t believe we’re on lockdown 2.0, as everyone’s calling it.”

She added:

“I’m very lucky to have had my health throughout number one and number two and I just can’t really begin to imagine what people are going through, who are getting ill.”

Eugenie also opened up about her father-in-law George Brooksbank and his experience with the coronavirus back during the first lockdown. Mr. Brooksbank was treated in intensive care back in March.

The royal recalled,

“My father-in-law was quite ill in lockdown one so I am so grateful that he is alive, that there are so many incredible people out there fighting for everyone’s lives.”

So far Princess Eugenie has not made any additional comments about her pregnancy, however, it has been noted that her due date is sometime at the beginning of 2021. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in. Watch this space!
