Here’s Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Son Will Be A Prince

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apparently cut ties with the royal family and moved to Los Angeles because they wanted to give their son Archie a more normal life and childhood, but it looks like the little tot will be a Duke or a Prince one day anyway. Even though Harry and Meghan opted not to give the little boy a title shortly after he was born, that might change later on in his life. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to step out of the spotlight for some time, that doesn’t mean they will be under the radar forever. As a matter of fact, there have been some reports indicating that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan on kick-starting their charitable foundation Archewell once the global pandemic that is the coronavirus has subsided. Meanwhile, they have been living at Tyler Perry’s $18 million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills while spending as much time as they can with their one-year-old son, Archie.

And while it looks like little Archie will be spending most of his childhood and formidable years in Los Angeles, he will always be a member of the British royal family thanks to his father’s connection. Royal expert Iain MacMarthanne says that Archie will be a prince or a duke one day. He explained that when Prince Harry dies, Arhcie will inherit his father’s title as the Duke of Sussex.

“In the case of Archie things however change on the death of the Queen,” Iain shared in an interview with Express.co.uk. “At that moment, by law, Archie will become whether he chooses to be or not HRH Prince Archie of Sussex for life.”

While both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about Archie’s, one thing is for certain: he’s already a prince in his parents’ eyes!
