The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Message

Posted on their official Instagram account, the message was an optimistic and cheerful one. The couple wished everyone a happy new year and thanked followers for their support. They also acknowledged meeting so many people all around the world and expressed excitement over meeting many more in the upcoming year.

“Wishing you all a very happy new year and thanking you all for your continued support! We’ve loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can’t wait to meet many more of you next year. We hope 2020 brings each of you health and continued happiness.”

Royal Couple Post First Photo and Video of 2020

The message was set to a song played by the band Coldplay. The video featured some of Harry and Meghan’s biggest moments of last year. Some of these include their Africa tour, Harry’s dance with Jane Goodall, Archie being christened, attending Wimbledon, award ceremonies, holidays and more.

The couple added a special thank you to Chris Martin and Coldplay for authorizing the use of one of their songs for the Instagram post.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Christmas Card

The video, photo and message for 2020 follows their Christmas card, which was the subject of unnecessary controversy. Meghan’s friend Janina Gavinar took the photo, which had the couple sitting in the background with wide, beaming smiles on their faces. In the forefront was the star of their household, little Archie. He had quite the inquisitive look on his face and the photo was adorable. It’s no surprise they chose that photo for their 2019 Christmas card.
