Christina Aguilera Opens Up About Being A Working Mom

Christina Aguilera is going back to work! The chart topper recently announced that she will be singing some of her biggest hits at her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency. She says that fans can expect the show to be quite a family affair as it will incorporate both her music and her family. Christina has two children, her 11-year-old son Max and a 4-year-old daughter named Summer.

Speaking to ET Online, Christina says that even though she’s a busy working mom, she always makes her business decisions with her children in mind. She wants to make sure that she gives her fans exactly what they want but at the same time meet the needs and priorities of her two kids.

“The last time I had been on tour was when I was pregnant with my son for Back to Basics, so it had been like, a real decade of sorts, literally, and I just celebrated his 11th birthday, which is insane,” she said. “So, it has to be a family thing.”

Christina also said that her children will travel with her to Las Vegas quite often.

“They’ll be in and out whenever it’s ready, and school and everything obviously comes first,” she confessed. “But mama’s got to get back to what I love to do, and the stage has always been my home. Mama bear and Mother Nature might play an interesting inspirational effect and exploring a universal appeal and interesting visuals on this one.”

There’s no doubt that Christina’s fans can’t wait to see her back on stage and back in action, of course! Christina’s Las Vegas residency begins on May 31 and will continue with performances throughout the year. Her residency will be at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
