If you ask moms who have successfully breastfed they will admit it is a challenging process, but extremely rewarding. I breastfed my first child for six months and wanted to do the same when I found out I was pregnant again, in July 2015. If I could tell expectant moms who are planning to breastfeed one thing it would be to hold off on buying a breastfeeding pump. This is especially true for moms breastfeeding twins. You need to pump as much milk as you can and in my opinion store bought brands just don’t cut it. In my case, the nurse at the hospital laughed when she saw the pump I planned to use. The lactation consultant also insisted that I rent a hospital grade pump. I was wary at first, but it’s truly economical and MUCH easier to pump with a hospital grade pump. 

For the first few weeks of breastfeeding, I had two pillows –  one for tandem breastfeeding and another for feeding one baby at a time.
