Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Expecting Baby No. 1

Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend are expecting their first child together.

The model took to Instagram to announce the happy news on Monday (Oct. 12).

“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 🙂 As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx,” she captioned a shot of the singer resting his on her blossoming bump.

Legend also tweeted the news to his Twitter followers with a link to the shot.

Teigen recently spoke about their struggle to conceive.

“John and I were having trouble,” she said during a interview on her new daytime talk show, FABlife. “We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened. But, my gosh, it’s been a process.”

The couple became engaged in 2011.

They married in September 2013 in Lake Como, Italy.
