Carey Mulligan and husband Marcus Mumford have welcomed their first child together.
“Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby,” a source told E! News. “She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends.”
The couple chose not to announce they were expecting. Throughout her pregnancy, the actress also kept her growing baby bump mostly under wraps.
The couple were previously childhood pen pals before their friendship blossomed into romance in 2011.
Mulligan & the Mumford & Sons’ frontman wed on a farm in Somerset, England, in 2012. Famous friends such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Sienna Miller, and Colin Firth were in attendance.
