Is it possible spring is finally in the air after such a harsh winter? The snow has melted and the tulips in front of my house are about to bloom!
To me, spring is the best time of the year because the coldness is ending and I’m eagerly anticipating the nice summer months. I also do a lot of shopping in preparation for the summer! I stock up on cleaning products, personal care products and other everyday household item my family needs for the next couple of months. Who wants to be shopping for these items when its nice and warm out? I also buy in bulk in the spring because lost of stores have promotions throughout May.
My family spends a lot of time in our backyard each summer, so I also enjoy sprucing it up with new items each spring. The harsh Montreal winters really do a number on outdoor decorations! I tend to buy little figurines, and a couple of new flower pots. Then in June, I go shopping with my daughter and we buy a whole bunch of flowers to plant outside.
Shoppers Drug Mart is also excited spring is in the air and has created the Burst into Spring promotion in celebration of the new season. The store is providing a broad selection of everyday, unique and exclusive products that you can buy not only for yourself, but for the whole family this spring. The Burst into Spring products include beauty, personal care, healthy, food and seasonal items. Additionally, with almost every purchase in-store Shoppers Drug Mart you earn Shoppers Optimum Points!
After learning about the new promotion, I headed on over to my local Shoppers Drug Mart to check out the selection. Here are my favorite products:
1. Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen SPF 45
My sensitive skin loves Aveeno and Shoppers Drug Mart always has a great selection of their products. With the hot weather around the corner there is not better time to stock up on sunscreen than in the spring! I love that Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen SPF 45 provides effective broad-spectrumUVA/UVB protection while also hydrating and nourishing skin all day.
2. Life Brand For Kids Insect Repellent
After sunscreen, every parents needs a good insect repellent for their kids. From outdoor games at night to camping, bugs are ever present to ruin the outdoor fun! Life Brand For Kids Insect Repellent has fresh scent and contains Deet plus related active Toluamides 5.0% to repel mosquitoes and black flies.
3. 3-Piece Polywood Bistro Set
I love that this bistro set is small, so it is perfect for a small patio or balcony. It’s also easy to fold and store away in the winter.
I fell in love with this planter when I laid eyes on it. How cute is the dog leaning over the pail? My daughter loves fixing up the backyard with me and planting flowers. She is going to have a lot of fun putting her favorite flowering plant in this when it gets a little warmer out.
This sand toy set comes with a pail, ball, watering can and other items suitable for the beach. My daughter gets so much use out of ‘beach’ toys. She likes to play with them inside, in the backyard and on the beach!
