LG G3: The New ‘It’ Smartphone For Moms #HolidayGiftGuide

Women take on many roles in life. In the last three years, I have become a mom and a business owner. I started blogging while pregnant with my daughter and over time blogging has turned into a full-time job. I’m also a stay-at-home mom. I don’t go out to work each day despite working everyday. That means most days I balance taking care of my daughter and the household responsibilities while managing my blog.

Despite taking on very different roles in life, women all have something in common. We need a smartphone to make our busy lives easier! Having a smartphone allows me to close my computer and spend more time with my daughter while being assured I’m up-to-date with important emails and business notifications. That’s why I was excited to get my hands on the LG G3 smartphone. It’s designed with some of the most advanced features in the smartphone world at the moment.

LG went all out when designing the latest smartphone in their award-winning G Series. The LG G3 smartphone has a 5.5″ Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display, making the visual experience at 4 times the resolution of HD. That is better than some computers! Graphics and photos are shown in the life-like color with finest detail and clarity at 538 pixels per inch.

The LG G3 is also equipped with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 801 Quad-Core Processor. Meaning, the smartphone provides a seamless user experience with the power to run multiple apps at once, quickly browse the web, or enjoy smooth rendering of graphics for just about any game with optimized battery efficiency.

What really won me over was the LG G3‘s advanced camera. For me, the camera is the most important aspect of a smartphone after it’s basic call making ability. I’m a blogger and a mom after all, so I’m constantly taking pictures!

The LG G3 Camera features include:

Laser Auto Focus: The LG G3 is the first phone equipped with Laser Auto focus. With this addition you can capture the moment when it happens, even when the subject is moving or the lighting isn’t optimal. You’ll be able to take the photo faster due to the advanced Laser Auto Focus feature and streamlined camera UI.

13 MP OIS+ camera: Capture true-to-life memories with the LG G3’s 13 MP OIS+ camera. The floating lens steadies the shot for sharp, focused imagery and the advanced sensor lets more light in. And, take perfect pictures without having to adjust a bunch of settings. Just point, shoot, and take your best shot.

Soft Light: Perfect for selfies with the hubby or kids! The screen illuminates and provides a soft light over your face, for a flawless shine!

Touch and Shoot: Take photos quickly in one step, by simply tapping the area of the screen where you want to focus.

Gesture Shutter: Take a better selfie without pushing any buttons by making a simple hand gesture

I often let my daughter play games and watch Netflix when we’re out eating at a restaurant, so I really appreciate that the LG G3 has a 1W speaker with 1.5W boost amp. The high quality speaker produces the clearest and loudest sound I have heard on a smartphone till now. This really helps my daughter hear what she’s watching while we’re dining in a noisy environment.

The LG G3 is equipped with an Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system that has access to the Google Play Store. I’m the type of person that loves customizing my phone without restrictions, and in my opinion Android is best the best operating system for this reason. Android gives you so much more control of what you can do with your smartphone!

Other Features That I love:

Smart Keyboard: The keyboard is also one of the most important features for me on a Smartphone and I’m usually disappoined with most. However, that is not the case with LG G3’s Smart Keyboard. The keyboard is really designed for individuals who text and write a lot of emails. It’s really easy to use, customizable to feed your needs and provides reliable word recognition.

Knock Code: Gain quick, secure access to the home screen by tapping your personalized 3 to 8 point pattern anywhere on the display. There are over 80,000 possible  code combinations.

Long Lasting Battery: I’m horrible at remembering to charge my phone, so I appreciate the long battery life of the LG G3. The 3,000 mAh removable battery also attains maximum capacity by using all available space, without sacrificing the LG G3‘s overall slim design.

Smart Notice: The LG G3 constantly learns and adapts to your ever-changing needs and interests, providing personalized suggestions that makes life easier and more productive. With contextual analysis, it helps you get organized, stay on task, keep in touch with friends, and won’t let you miss an important event!

Micro SD slot: Take as many pictures as you want because you will never run out of space with the LG G3. . In addition to the 32GB of on-board memory, the SD card slot supports cards up to 128GB (with potential to support 2TB).

Not only will moms love the LG G3, but the whole family. It’s the perfect smartphone for the person in need of a new phone this holiday season. With it’s advanced display and camera features you will be hard pressed to find a better phone on the market!
