Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first child together.
The Gossip Girl actress announced the happy news in a blog post celebrating the creation of family on her website, Preserve. At the end of an array of photos featuring pregnant ladies, she shared a picture of herself cupping her own baby bump.
“With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family,” the blog post read. “Congratulations to all the expecting mothers out there.”
Lively has been open about her desire to start a family.
“I gotta get started,” she told the September 2014 issue of Marie Claire.“If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would.”
Lively and Reynolds first met while shooting their 2011 movie, The Green Lantern. They secretly wed in fall of 2012.
