Sharing pregnancy news with a parent is special and things can get emotional. That’s what YouTuber Jessica Hickey and her followers discovered when she uploaded a heartwarming clip of her proud Dad getting the news.
Filmed in a restaurant, Jessica’s dad opens up a box, pulls out a pacifier and laughs. He says:
Looks like something you used to suck on when you was little.
She responds:
You should probably read it.
Reading the note attached, the grandpa to be gasps. After a moment, he tears up with sheer JOY once he’s processed the news.
Jessica explains just how special this reveal was to her family in a note on Reddit:
Told my dad he is going to be a grandpa. I am his only child and my mother passed away 20 years ago. He has been asking us for grandchildren since our wedding night. I think he is happy.
