Tamera Mowry-Housley on Motherhood: “Some Days I Scream!”

Tamera Mowry-Housley admits parenthood can be tough at times. 

“Some days I scream,” the actress told at the 2014 Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon on Thursday. “Honestly, you take it a moment at a time, a day at a time. Some days you got it and everything works out according to plan.”

Mowry-Housley loves everything about her 15-month-old son, Aden, but acknowledges he is not always perfect. 

“The temper tantrums aren’t so fun,” she tells. “He’s beautiful — he’s walking — but I see the terrible twos just around the corner. I can see how it can go there!”

Thankfully, her husband,Fox News correspondent Adam Housley is a hands-on dad. 

“He’s a very hands-on dad and sometimes he checks me,” jokes the Real star. “I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, you’re doing more than me. I’m feeling a little inadequate here!’”

“That’s such a big blessing when you have a husband that loves being a dad just as much as you love being a mom,” she adds. “He is a phenomenal father.”

The couple have been married for two years.
