Jenna Dewan-Tatum on Motherhood: “It’s Been a Great Perspective Change”

Jenna Dewan-Tatum loves being a mommy!

While making an appearance at the Maybelline New York and Daily Front Row Luncheon in Hollywood, the Witches of East End star opened up about her 9-month-old daughter Everly with husband Chaning Tatum. 

“It’s been a great perspective change,” she told Us Weekly. “The things that used to maybe worry [me]…[were] replaced by just caring and being there for this little baby.”

Since welcoming Everly in May, Dewan admits she has become more selective in the work she chooses.  

“You really get a lot pickier abut the sort of projects and even the opportunities that come your way,” she said of being a working mom. “For me I’ve been really lucky because even though I’m working a lot, I’m able to bring her everywhere,” she added. “She comes on set with me every day.”

Parenthood has also strengthen her marriage to Tatum. 

“As a whole, it just forces you to become a little closer, because you have to be on the same page with everything when it comes to making decisions,” she explained. “It’s just like everything else. You give it like, ‘Okay, I have this luncheon today, so you watch Everly and I have this dinner.’ You just become way better at planning!”

The couple are also open to expanding their family in the future. 

“I do want to have more kids if it’s in the cards for us,” Dewan confessed. “But right now we’re trying to get into the groove and enjoy our little baby that we have now. We’ll see what the future has in store for us!”
