My husband and I are the type of people that always have dishes piling up out of the sink, so when I found out we were expecting our first child I decided buying a dishwasher was a must. It was either that our letting our kitchen become one big dirty dish room!
Unfortunately, I didn’t realize one major problem with using a dishwasher. Dishwasher detergent tends to be full of harsh chemicals. I noticed our daughter Ava’s pacifiers and nipples would have a chemical taste on them after being cleaned each load. Obviously, this freaked me out and I decided to try alternative detergent solutions. In the end I compromised by buying a detergent that had less chemicals, but cleaned less effectively.
I no longer worry about cleaning bottles and pacifiers, but using harsh chemicals in our dishwasher continues to concern me. Ava is a growing toddler and anyone with a toddler knows how many dishes they can go through each day. That’s why I was excited to learn about the new Finish Power & Free dishwashing tabs (Quantum).
For the last couple of months Finish dishwashing tabs have been my detergent of choice. I made the switch after being really impressed with the price and quality of their tabs compared to competing brands. Their new tabs use Hydrogen Peroxide Action, which combines water and active oxygen and are meant to give dishes an unbeatable clean and shine with less harsh chemicals than ever before.
The Finish Power & Free line-up of products includes – Quantum, Powerball, and Jet-Dry.
Putting the Finish Power & Free Quantum tabs to the test
Before:
The dishwasher is fully loaded and the dishes need heavy duty cleaning.
After:
As you can see from the pictures above the new Power & Free Quantum tab works just as well as Finish‘s other tabs. There was no residue left over and the dishes surprisingly looked cleaner without the harshest chemicals added. I’m definitely going to continue using these tabs when the package I have is finished.
