Help Get Rid of Your Sinus Problems With Sudafed #SudafedOpenUp

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sudafed.

Being a parent of a two year old, I know how challenging cold season can be. I hate seeing my daughter sick, so like any good mommy I cuddle and let her sniffle her germs all over me. As can be expected, I usually get sick while she is on the mend. I spend at least two weeks out of each winter season sick with a cold or the flu.

There is nothing I hate more than sinus problems. From not being able to sleep right at night because of a blocked nose to a fountain of germs constantly flowing out of my nose, sinus pain is a constant agony. I also suffer from allergies that make my eyes itchy, so when I have sinus problems they seem that much more painful.

I’ve tried everything to rid myself of sinus problems and even sought help online. Unfortunately, till now there hasn’t been a lot of ways to open up about sinus pain. That’s why I was excited to learn about Sudafed’s OPEN UP™ application on FacebookIt’s a great app that lets you make light of your sinus pain in a fun way. I used the application to sketch just how I feel when I’m all congested.

In this masterpiece self-portrait, the hammer bumps me over the head to demonstrate the headaches I get and the faucet represents my nose which never fails to run like a waterfall. My eyes also get droopy and usually blotch up.

When I’m finally relieved it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. There is is nothing harder than being a parent while sick. I almost feel like throwing a party!

How does sinus pain and pressure make you feel?

Sudafed knows that suffering from sinus pressure and pain can leave individuals feeling crushed, beat down, congested and even squeezed, desperately looking for a way to OPEN UP. Serious sinus sufferers are invited to creatively share how their sinus pain and pressure looks and feels to them by using Sudafed’s OPEN UP™ application on Facebook.

Then, beginning on December 2, the Sudafed Facebook community will vote for one of five finalist sketches that best illustrates the pains of sinus pressure. The winner will receive $5,000 and a chance to have their work included in a Sudafed advertising campaign. For more information, visit the Sudafed Facebook page.
