My 2-year-old daughter, Ava, transitioned from a high chair to a booster seat at 18 months. She went from eating all her meals and even passing out in her highchair to fighting to sit in it. Till recently, I had yet to be completely satisfied with any booster seat Ava has tried. So, I was excited to learn that Bumbo, the original company behind the popular floor seats for babies also make innovative booster seats for toddlers and young children.
The Bumbo Booster seat is made of the same foam as the floor seat making it super comfortable and an ideal seat for all type of activities. The foam design also makes the booster seat light and easy to transport. I doubt there is a lighter booster seat on the market. Everywhere you go, the Bumbo Booster Seat can go too. It should be noted, that the seats lightness doesn’t take away from the quality of the seat. The foam is thick and firm.
As you can see from the picture above, my daughter fits perfectly in the seat despite being a littler shorter than the average toddler her age. The design of the booster seat makes her feel like a big girl and she loves sitting at the table to feed herself. After she is done, she pushes in the chair and the booster fits perfect under the table.
My absolute favorite feature about the booster seat is that it’s super easy to clean. It baffles me that so many company’s create booster seats with lots of crevises. The foam on the Bumbo Booster seat is molded, making it super easy to wipe down and cleaning up my daughter’s mess is done in less than a minute. The lightness of the seat also makes it easy to remove, so you can clean the actual chair.
The seat has a three point safety restraint belt and attachment straps that help keep your child safely in place. The attachment straps are long and adjustable, so they should be able to fit all type of chairs. I found the straps fairly easy to adjust and even did so with my daughter sitting on the seat. The restraint belt is also adjustable, so the booster will be good for children that are older.
If the amazingness of this booster seat is not enough, Bumbo is also an organization that believes in giving back. In 2005, they formed a non-profit organization to assist the underprivileged and special needs children in our own backyard. Since then, they’ve donated a portion of proceeds from every Bumbo baby product purchase made worldwide back into the community.
Priced at $33.00, the Bumbo Booster seat is the perfect gift to a parent with a child under five. It comes in variety of colors to match with every kitchen.
