It seems just like yesterday I was gazing down at my newborn daughter, Ava thinking she was the most beautiful baby in the whole world. Two years have passed and everyday I see her becoming a big girl. Today at the park, she gained the confidence to go down the slide without my help and even pretended to drive a car! Sometimes I wish she would stay my little girl forever, but I know one day that pretend car will turn into a real one.
That is why I want her cherish every moment of her childhood. From sliding by herself for the first time to singing her favorite song all these moments are special because they will be gone before she knows it. At the same time, I want to cherish her childhood myself by playing right alongside her. It’s always fun to pretend to be a kid again!
Gymboree has created a cute video of celebrating and sharing cherished moments in childhood. The childhood moments the girls experience in the video are some of the very same I cherish from my own childhood. I remember dressing up in pretty clothes and pretending to have tea from my own moms childhood tea set.
Do you wish you could stop time and cherish the wonder and joy of childhood forever? Join Gymboree as they celebrate this precious time in your children’s lives. Share your memorable moments with #cherishchildhood.
