Josh Duhamel: “There Is a Lot of Anticipation Going on at the Duhamel Household Right Now!”

Josh Duhamel is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first child as his wife Fergie‘s due date approaches.

“There is a lot of anticipation going on at the Duhamel household right now,” he told during a press conference for his new movie Scenic Route at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday (Aug. 15) “It’s pretty exciting.”

The dad-to-be is impressed with how well the Black Eyed Peas singer has handled her pregnancy

“I’m mostly impressed with how gracefully . . . I mean she’s just been awesome throughout this whole thing,” he gushed about his wife of four years. “She’s taken really good care of herself, she’s happy, she’s in great spirits, she looks beautiful and I’m just really proud of her more than anything. And I’m really excited to meet this little dude. I can’t wait.”

Duhamel is also going to be taking a break from work to be home with Fergie and their future bundle of joy.

“Right now it’s baby time, so I’m going to be home,” the actor explained. “Then I’ve got a bunch of projects that are in development that we’re producing with my company, which I’m really excited about. So it’s going to give me some time to be home for that.”

Scenic route hits theatres on August 23.
