Giveaway: mamatea – Beneficial Ingredients, Amazing Taste

I was recently introduced to mamatea while attending a special Baby Shower party hosted by the The Baby Ladies in Chicago.

The founder of the company, Kim Roman decided to develop her own herbal blends after using both nursing and pregnancy teas in the past, and finding it tough to stick with the recommended cups per day as the flavors were terrible.  She loved that the teas worked, but wanted to them to taste good and that is where mamatea came in.  She crafted teas that not only taste good, but are blended with only organic and all natural ingredients. Each ingredient she uses in her teas are sourced from a vendor that runs a variety of tests to make sure each herb is pesticide-free, non-irradiated and non-GMO

I love tea and it is my drink of choice,  so I was interested in trying mamatea. I tried to the nursing mama tea which is blended with fenugreek to help boost and maintain milk supply while breastfeeding. This tea is great for breastfeeding mamas because it is caffeine-free.

I am no longer breastfeeding, but wanted to try the tea get a general idea of the taste mamatea’s offer. The first thing I noticed about the tea is it’s fruity smell. It has pieces of cranberry inside and I absolutely love cranberry tasting teas. I loved the taste and I was pleasantly surprised that the taste of was similar to caffeinated tea! Yum!

One thing that I like about mamatea is that the company offers teas for all stages of a woman’s life. They have a tea for woman who are pregnant, nursing, dealing with painful or uncomfortable menstrual cycles, or trying to prepare your body to become pregnant.

Currently, mamatea offers six different blends for women:

010. Preconception: with red raspberry leaf to help balance hormones and prepare the body for pregnancy
011. Cycle-Ease: with red raspberry leaf and cramp bark to ease the pain and discomfort of menstrual cycles
020. Pregnancy: with red raspberry leaf to nourish the body and prepare the uterus for delivery
021. Keep it Down: with ginger to help with morning sickness or other nausea during pregnancy (or anytime!)
030. New Mama: with lady’s mantle to repair and restore tissue after delivery
031. Nursing Mama: with fenugreek to help boost and maintain milk supply while breastfeeding
