A New Mom Celebrates Her First Mother’s Day

May 12, 2013 was extra special for me as it was my first Mother’s Day. I’ve been so blessed to have a loving partner and beautiful baby boy to share it with. Being a mother is definitely an amazing journey that gets better every day.

Even though Mother’s Day is once a year I hope that you feel appreciated and loved all the time because a moms job never ends!

My husband has been so sweet and supportive during labor, breastfeeding, and just being an amazing dad and partner that I wanted to share with you some of the thoughtful gifts that he got me for my first Mother’s Day.

First, a 201 Organic Baby Puree Book along with a Cuisinart mini food processor. I love it because I use it every day to make Baby C’s food. The recipes in the book are yummy and can’t wait to start making some of the more fancier combinations.

The second gift was a pendant from KidzCanDesign that he made using our little one’s handprints. He drew the owl and then outlined his hands for the wings. It is such a cool concept. You can also send in your child’s drawings and they will make it into a pendant! It’s so sweet and I’ve been wearing it everyday!

The last gift was a spa day at the Ritz Carlton. I’m super excited because I’ve never even stepped foot in a Ritz Carlton let alone been to a fancy spa. I made my appointment for next week and can’t wait!
