Michelle Williams: Raising Matilda Is My Side Project and My Center Project

Michelle Williams‘ is focused on raising her daughter.

In a new interview, the Oz the Great and Powerful tells Paper magazine that her biggest off-screen project right now is raising her 7-year-old daughter, Matilda.

“Raising the kid is the work, yeah. And it’s amazing, and it’s the ultimate creative act,” she told the publication at the Kate Young for Target party on Tuesday, April 9. “That’s my side project and my center project.”

William admits she enjoys concentrating all her energy into only a few things at a time.

“I wish I had side projects!” she said of pursuing other passions outside of work. “I’m kind of like a ‘one thing at a time’ girl. I can’t really take on [more]. I wish I was one of those people who’s also taking lots of photos and going to cooking classes. But I just work and raise the kid. That’s all I can do.”

Earlier in the year, theBlue Valentine actress split with boyfriend Jason Segel.
