Sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres on the Wednesday episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show (March 7), Jessica Simpson updated the host about her surprising second pregnancy.
“I don’t know, apparently protection was just thrown out the window,” she laughed.
The Fashion Star mentor and fiancé Eric Johnson are “happy” to be expecting baby No. 2, but they were “extremely shocked” when they found out the news. Adding, daughter Maxwell, “was our focus and then I was puking and lying on the couch!”
Jessica’s second pregnancy is the complete opposite from the first.
“Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted,” she recalled. “I had a lot of energy. This time around . . . I’m like exhausted. Eating Tums. That’s my snack of choice.”
The Weight Watchers spokeswoman is also making her second pregnancy “super healthy” in terms of her diet.
“I’m not really craving as much and I know how hard it is to get off so I’m trying to make healthier, wiser decisions,” Jessica confides.
