When Alana Thompson’s family says that they are going to help do something, they follow through one way or another. One of the Honey Boo Boo stars’ friends has been selling Girl Scout cookies and they decided to help her out by selling cookies from their official Facebook page which has a ton of likes. The Girl Scout Organization made them shut down the online sales pretty quickly because they didn’t consider it to be ethical. Girl Scouts encourage face to face sales in order to help promote good people skills.
The online sale ended but over the weekend the Thompson crew decided to do things the old fashioned way. The whole family, including baby Kaitlyn set up a stand at the Milledgeville Mall and sold boxes of cookies live and in person. Anyone buying f boxes got their picture taken with the family as well. The families’ going out of their way to help others is not a first. Every Christmas they set up a Santa’s village on their property and collect toys and canned goods for those in need. Say what you want about the redneck family, but at the end of the day they seem to love each other and genuinely want to do good for others.
Should their online sale have been shut down? They say the boxes sold online WILL count for the Troop that was tied to selling them. Is that fair? Are you a Honey Boo Boo fan? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
