If Gladys Knight Were Paris Jackson’s Aunt, She’d Be Missing Teeth

If you hit up any of the talk shows this week, one of the leading stories inevitably is about the Jackson family meltdown.  Matriarch Katherine went missing (or on “vacation” she’s now saying) and everything seemed to simply implode.  Michael’s daughter Paris took to her Twitter to share what was happening and Aunt Janet was none to happy.  They had a physical altercation last weekend and everyone seems to have an opinion on it, including Gladys Knight who was guest hosting on The Talk yesterday.  Here’s her take on things,

“It’s drama, that’s what it is. If you lived up under the microscope as this family does, everybody has dysfunctionality in their families, either one way or the other. See, I’m from the south and [we] were raised in that southern way. You have to understand Paris is what, 14? How old is Janet? Who’s the one who tries to direct the other one here? And I would think that it’s a good thing she let’s Paris know who she is. She is a Jackson, she shouldn’t be putting the business out there like that. Cause people read into whatever they want to read into, that’s how they get the drama. So, she’s just trying to protect her, in a way. But if she [Paris] called me that, she wouldn’t have any teeth…You respect your elders.”

Do you think it’s a simple matter of respect and that Paris is wrong for proving that she has precious little?  Should Janet have kept her anger in check better or do you believe that there comes a point in time where kids need to be reminded of who is in charge?  Speaking of that, should these kids remain in Katherine’s care or do they belong with Michael’s nephew who has stepped up on more than one occasion to shield them from the craziness of being a Jackson?  Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
