Brooke White Of American Idol Expecting 1st

Former American Idol contestant Brooke White has recently announced via her personal website – http://www.brookiebabble.com/ – that she’s going to be a 1st time mum: “Yep, I’m havin’ a baby, y’all! Wow, how weird does it feel to say that?! Super weird and yet super awesome!” Super weird and yet super awesome… I think a lot of us can relate to that!

“I have to say while it came as a happy surprise, and at the same time, later than I ever expected, I’m feeling great about having a baby at this point in my life!” says the pop-singer. Of course, White might be a little hard on herself seeing as she’s only 28 and by all accounts at just the right age for motherhood.

White then said: “My baby’s been a gem to me already. I really haven’t slowed down since finding out the news in September. But I kept it a secret until about two weeks ago. There are a few really hard secrets I’ve kept in my life – one was American Idol and the other was being pregnant. I’m a confidentiality pro!”  Pretty impressive if she’s been pregnant since September to have kept the info under wraps up until now…

So, just how excited is Brooke about this baby? Here’s what she said in that regard: “We’re so excited. By the time the baby’s born, we’ll have been married eight years. I met Dave when I was 19 years old – we’ve been together a really long time, and we’ve always wanted to be parents.”

Brooke White was a contestant on the 2008(7th) season of American Idol – she finished in 5th place. However, Brooke already had some success in the music industry having released In The Attic in 2005. White’s then released an album after ‘Idol’ called High Hopes & Heartbreak on July 21, 2009. The  single “Hold Up My Heart” was released on February 25, 2009, and the song debuted at number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100.
