The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane’s Hacking Scheme Backfires, Phyllis Be Arrested and Takes the Fall?

Genoa City faces shockwaves as Cane’s risky hacking plan ends in disaster, leaving Phyllis in the hot seat — and sparking speculation that she might take the blame to protect someone else.

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn)

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn ) hacking scheme is a plan destined to fail. There’s little doubt in the viewers’ minds that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pull it off without a trace.

Phyllis is good at her job. She will probably be able to access Jabot, Newman Enterprises, and Chancellor Industries ‘ systems. However, she probably won’t hack into the systems unnoticed. It’s a recipe for disaster for Phyllis, as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) know her particular skill set.

Cane’s Hacking Plan Failure

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cane has a specific job in store for Phyllis. He knows her particular skill set and demands that she hack into Jabot, Newman Enterprises, and Chancellor Industries computers.

He admits that he must find information he can use to take over the companies. Apparently, he needs her to look for weaknesses in their marketing plans or any other valuable information.

Phyllis agrees to do as instructed. She needs this job. It’s not just a financial reason, either. She feels she must prove to herself and the town that she can be part of something big and succeed.

As the Y&R viewers predicted, the plan goes awry, and Victor notices right away that someone unauthorized logged into the mainframe system.

Jack’s IT team alerts him immediately about the possible attack. Both men instructed their IT teams to be on the lookout for any network hacks. They anticipated this would be

Cane’s next move.

Jack and Victor immediately knew the name of the hacker. They pinpointed Phyllis as the person behind the computer, turning her name over to their IT team. It probably won’t take long for word to get to law enforcement, who could place Phyllis under arrest.

Phyllis’ Arrest & Cane’s Silence

The paper trail of the hacking leads straight back to Phyllis. She logged into the mainframes on her computer.

Jack and Victor know how skilled Phyllis is on the computer. They both know that Cane is intelligent, but likely wouldn’t know how to hack into a corporation’s mainframe. But Phyllis would.

After Phyllis’ arrest, Cane plays dumb. He knew nothing about the hacking plan. He assumes Phyllis was trying to impress him for a job opening.

But he never asked her to hack into any system. He might even point out that is playing dirty and he wants a fair fight over the companies, not denying his desire to take over

Chancellor Industries, Jabot, and Newman Enterprises.
