The Young and the Restless’ Melody Thomas Scott Receives Hollywood Walk of Fame Nod

The Young and the Restless spoilers note some great news for the show and one of its iconic players. Melody Thomas Scott, who plays Nikki Newman on the soap opera, will join the 2026 Hollywood Walk of Fame (HWOF) class, as she is celebrated for her legendary career in daytime drama.

Melody Thomas Scott Gets A Star

The actress has been playing Nikki Newman for over four decades, entering the role in 1979. The announcement that Scott would be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was made by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on July 2.

One of the highest honors a star can get in Hollywood, Melody joins an incredible group of entertainers who are being acknowledged in the 2026 Walk of Fame.

These performers are chosen across different categories that include film, TV, theatre and live performances, recording, radio, as well as sports entertainment.

Fellow 2026 honorees include actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, ESPN newscaster Robin Roberts, political correspondent George Stephanopoulos, and Chef Gordon Ramsay. Scott joins fellow Y&Rer, Eric Braeden, who plays Nikki’s husband, Victor Newman, as he received his HWOF star in 2007.

Melody Thomas Scott’s Daytime Legacy

Scott hasn’t only been on the Y&R for over forty years, but she’s also had a ton of guest appearances in movies like Posse and The Car, (playing herself), and has been on a slew of primetime shows, The King of Queens, My Name is Earl, and Castle … just to name a few!

During her tenure as Nikki Newman, Scott has earned two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations and took the statue home in 2001, as well as a Daytime Emmy nod in 1999 in the Outstanding Lead Actress category.
Nikki continues to dominate storylines on the Y&R, and her character is currently in Nice, along with her hubby Victor, as they try to figure out the big secret Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is hiding.
