General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is Ruining The Storylines?

Sonny Is Ruining The Storylines?

That’s because a lot of long-time viewers of the show believe that Sonny is being propped up each and every time he’s in one of the storylines.

In other words, General Hospital fans think that Sonny is being “propped up” too much to everyone in Port Charles.

Some have even suggested that doing this flattens out stories and creates constant “no stakes” if that even makes sense.

It goes without saying that the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some have even commented with, “The Sonny propping is so nauseating at this point. Michael was mad at Sonny, Carly was mad at Sonny, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was mad at Sonny but a few months to weeks later they are all back to kissing the ring.”

Is Too Much Sonny A Bad Thing?

“The only people mad at Sonny are Tracy and Joss and as much as it’s nice that there are a few people who are anti Sonny, you can tell that when the smoke finally clears everyone will be pro Sonny.”

Another fan of the show wrote, “It gets so exhausting as it’s so obvious. I feel like some viewers give up or give into it as the norm due to that cognitive dissonance of the Sonny character and his role.”

“It is, sadly, the norm for this show, but that does not make it fun/good to watch. It is why I’m in and out with this show.”

And then there was this comment as well: “If you already are looking through the Sonny lens that Sonny is always Propped, then you’ll attach any action to that and ignore everything else and even get mad when something happens for Sonny that hasn’t happened for another character.”

“I’m not saying he doesn’t get some preferential story outcomes... but just that every little thing isn’t some conspiracy.”

Of course, GH fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
