90 Day Fiance July Roundup: Drama & Redemption

This month in the 90 Day Fiancé world, fans are getting invested in the various shows on the franchise. As usual, it involves cultural missteps, bombshell revelations, unexpected growth, and a collection of TLC stars.

Darcey & Georgi

First up is Darcey Silva and Georgi. In the July 20 episode of Happily Ever After?, Darcey tied to seem more “conservative” for her husband’s Bulgarian family. She traded  her super-long long lashes for shorter ones and shopped for modest outfits with her friend Roxy, trying to respect their values, per People.

However, Roxy dissed her efforts, and she told her that some of her efforts still  made her look  “inappropriate.” Naturally  that sparked a lot of tension. Georgi got really annoyed and accused Darcy of looking like a sex worker, claiming she wasn’t trying hard enough. Clearly, it seems that it there’s likely  to be more cultural friction going Darcey’s way. 

Gino & Jasmin Pineda

Next, on the gossip list was Gino Palazzolo who just about freaked out when he discovered something  about Jasmine.  In an episode titled You Can’t Handle the Truth, he confronted Jasmine with evidence from her phone logs showing she was in contact with Matt Branistareanu four months before they claimed to have met at the gym. Gino now considers it “grounds for divorce.”

Actually, it seems that it takes a heck of a lot of drama before Gino finally gets around to terminating their relationship. Of course, fans were fairly unsurprised because they long suspected something like that was the case. So, they felt as if this was always going to be the outcome.

Asuelu Pulaa Gets Some Redemption 

Although 90 Day Fiance fans didn’t see it on TLC, Asuelu Pulaa managed to get some kudos. Remember he teased marrying various women after he left Kalani Faagata. Well, he took a lot of flak from fans because of his cheating ways. But for once he did something right.

He actually hinted that he joined the U.S. military, and later, Kalani shared a post on social media that showed their boys were at his graduation ceremony. She said in her caption a week ago, “We are so proud of you, Asuelu! What a journey it has been! .” So, despite some skepticism from fans, it seems that he really did sign up.

Hunt For Love

Hunt For Love, the newest 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, seemed a bit flat for some folks. However, Elise Benson gained some traction with fans. She’s new to the franchise and had a background in real estate in Miami Beach. Remember she was quick to give Rob Warne a sloppy kiss during the masquerade party. That all fell down, and Tim Malcolm made a move on her.

Unlucky in love, actually, she seems bright, interesting, and ready for some fun. So, she’s getting support from TLC fans who hope she stays on in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
