Michelle Stafford Commemorates Sweet National Holiday With The Rest Of The Y&R Cast & Crew

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest the land of Genoa City is a busy and bustling little town, where everyone’s schedule is jam-packed with business meetings and personal drama.

Meanwhile, Y&R’s backstage area may not be filled with drama, but shooting can offer some chaotic and hectic days. This is why fans were so happy to see the cast and crew celebrate a sweet national holiday and enjoy some fun antics in the process.

Michelle Stafford’s IG Video

Michelle Stafford, who plays the always-entertaining Phyllis Summers on the CBS soap, recently uploaded a fun behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram handle of some backstage antics.

Of course, June 6 was National Donut Day, and Stafford offered a sneak peek at the cast and crew celebrating the only way anyone should on this holiday: by enjoying the sweet treat!

The caption on the IG video read, “I meant to post this yesterday to celebrate one of my favorite holidays!!! #nationaldonutday.

One of our amazing stage managers #Fritzi surprised us all with donuts!! We’ve been shooting very long hours recently at Y&R. I hope you enjoy what’s to come.”

The Whole Gang Was There

The IG video opens with Stafford, along with Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair), in makeup, as Stafford notes, “It’s National Donut Day. Let’s go get donuts, everybody!” Everyone happily shouts back, “Donuts!” as they follow the actress out of the room, while Stafford states, “Who doesn’t want a donut?” as she continues walking. Susan Walters (Diane Abbott) happily exclaims, “We get donuts?!” as Stafford giggles at her co-star’s comment. She goes on to jokingly say, “It’s as if we’ve never eaten.”

The actress goes on to note that “Actors are notorious for eating the free food. I think because we’re broke most of the time until we get a gig.”

Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) is also shown in the video, as Stafford asks him if he’s gotten a donut, to which he replies, “Oh, yeah!”

When Stafford reaches the table where the donuts are, she makes sure to acknowledge that, “it’s from Fritzi” (the CBS soap’s stage manager) as everyone thanks him.
