Jade Liz Roper & Tanner Give Up Their Dream
Jade Liz Roper and Tanner Tolbert from Bachelor in Paradise (BIP) have decided to give up on their dream. The mom of Emmerson, Brooks, and Reed shared some exciting news late last year, but the ABC stars are walking away from it now.
The New Dream Was A Pick-Me-Up
Last year, Tanner stood by his wife as she went through the terrible loss of a baby. The little one died in-utero, and she wanted to birth the little body naturally. However, in the end, doctors resorted to physically removing the remains. So, ABC fans felt happy when she announced something new two months later.
On November 16 last year, Tanner Tolbert and Jade stood next to a lake with their children, and she seemed so excited. At the time, on Instagram, the BIP alum said, “We bought 10 acres!! This is a dream come true for me! I grew up in the country and have so many fond memories of my childhood playing outside in nature and exploring with my brothers.”

So, she wanted the same experience for her own children. Additionally, they planned on building a home there. Previously, they lived in Southern California but relocated to the Kansas City area last summer. They also got a vacation home in the Big Bear Lake area.
Walking Away From A Dream
On April 9, Jade Liz Roper took to Instagram again and shared the same photo. However, she didn’t sound so upbeat about it. In her caption, she explained, “Life update: sometimes things don’t go the way you planned… and that’s okay.”
She said that it was a “tough decision” because they loved the land and they planned a home there. “So much heart went into that dream—but we’re choosing to trust that this is making space for something even better,” she added.
While it feels “bittersweet,” they “trust” that “what’s meant for us is still out there.” Now, they will hunt for another “forever home.”
Fans React In The Comments
Fans of the couple seem a bit puzzled because so many times, they set their hearts on a forever home, but it always seems to be out of reach. One of them seemed encouraging, writing, “Best advice I’ve gotten that’s carried me through life has been ‘it’s okay to change your mind.”‘ Glad you followed your gut even if it’s a bittersweet ending.”
More people said that changing their original plans worked for them. Here’s another person who felt that time brings what’s right: “We did this… and ended up with something 10x better! It was an only God can moment & glad we ended up where we are!!!!”
