Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Major Star Reports Leaving The Show After Almost Twenty Years!
Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal an actress who has been a part of DOOL for nearly two decades has recently revealed she’s leaving the show.
Interestingly, despite the timing of her announcement, she clarified that it is not an April Fool’s Day prank; this news coincides with the soap opera’s preparations to celebrate a significant milestone.
The Show Has Been On Since 1965, And Jumped From Broadcast To Streaming
The NBC-Peacock soap opera has been on the air since 1965; until 2022, it was broadcast on NBC, but then it transitioned to Peacock, where it continues to produce new seasons.
This transition means the show is approaching its 60th anniversary-however, according to The U.S. Sun, there is a cast change; Tamara Braun announced that she has finished her role as Ava Vitali.
Reflecting on this, Braun stated, “I wish this was an April Fool’s joke, but it’s not-this is Ava’s last week on the show—really just the last couple of days.”
She mentioned that she has been away for some time, saying, “Sad but true. I’ve been gone since late July of last year, but you can still see Ava until April 3rd!” That is because of the soap’s filming schedule-currently, there is a nine month gap between filming and airdate.
Tamara Misses Being On The Show
The actress expressed, “I really miss my Days friends; they are such a wonderful group of caring people, and spending time with them was a delight.” Braun concluded her post by saying, “Thank you for all the #love #kindness and #support during Ava’s recent time in Salem.” It remains unclear whether this is a permanent departure or if she may return in the future, as her role is recurring rather than contractual.
The post included a video slideshow featuring Braun with her co-stars-throughout her career, Braun has made a significant impact in soap operas.
She played Carly Corinthos on General Hospital from 2001 to 2005, returned as a different character, Kim Nero, from 2017 to 2019, and Reese Williams on All My Children from 2008 to 2009.
Tamara Also Played Two Characters On The NBC-Peacock Soap
Braun made her debut on Days of Our Lives as Ava Vitali in 2008; she returned to this role in 2015 and has portrayed the character intermittently since then. In 2011, she also played Taylor Walker on the show; many fans expressed their support for the actress in the comments. Since Braun has left the soap in the past, some fans expressed hope for her return.
Comments included: “You will be greatly missed, @tamarabraun!!! No goodbyes, I’m sure we will see Ava back in Salem before long.” Some worried the character had been written into a corner.
Fans’ Comments And Well Wishes Continued
Fans comments and well wishes continued, including “I really hope this is just an April Fools’ joke; Tamara, you are an incredible actress”. “It’s unfortunate that Ava’s storyline feels limited, as there was so much more that could have been explored; wishing you all the best in your next project!” “Oh no! I really love Ava (and you too)-I hope you get to spend more time in Salem soon, I admire you in every way”. I’m so thankful to have you in my life- Let’s plan another long coffee chat soon! ‘; “There are characters that could have been removed, but Ava shouldn’t be one of them.
Coming from a crime family, she has so much potential, yet her role is just managing a restaurant; it’s a shame to see another great character go!”
