The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is interested in Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers). But it’s not what he’s seemingly hoping for.
Viewers see that Lily is playing along with what she thinks is flirtation. But Damian may be doing more than trying to make time with Lily.
Aristotle Dumas (no actor known to be cast for this role) is the man behind Damian’s rise to success. Although Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) wonders if Aristotle even exists, it is possible that Damian is him.
However, assuming that this new character, Aristotle, is real, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) protective instincts should prove very helpful to the Winters family. He wants to make amends, in his way, with Lily and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is on board with that.
Lily wants to learn whatever she can about Damian. She doesn’t trust him and is concerned that her cousin might be in line for trouble.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) wants to bond with his newly realized brother. But he’s had to do a lot to get the man to talk with his dying mother, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). That’s ominous for many reasons.
So, knowing that Nate has reverted to his good-guy persona, Lily is looking out for him. She also takes Victor’s intel and wants to protect Winters from any threat Damian might potentially represent.
Any new character on a soap opera becomes compelling through planned mystery. Y&R’s viewers don’t have enough information to determine if Damian is just a lucky businessman and a scorned son or far more duplicitous than that generous initial assessment.
With whatever he is, the liking he’s taken to Lily helps her cause and, likely, Nate’s as well. Nate wants Damian to stay in Genoa City, Wisconsin, so he has time to reconcile with Amy fully.
Rivers just debuted and is likely not going anywhere for long. Assuming he stays put, he and his mom will discuss their differences, and fans might see a sad swan song about Amy’s passing. Hopefully, Nate’s medical connections will extend her life indefinitely.
Viewers notice that talk of millionaires morphed into use of the word billionaire when those with lots of money grew their fortunes exponentially in recent decades. Also, those who had money became millionaires and had to look up to those who were wealthier than them.
The above begs the question of who has more money, Victor or Aristotle. Also, the writing staff creates a new challenge for Victor while he ramps up his war against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Jabot.
With Damian serving as his potential frontman, Aristotle will probably come into existence soon. At that point, this storyline will shift into a much higher gear.
