Meanwhile, Chad Duell has officially exited the scene, prompting Katelyn MacMullen to share her thoughts in a recent interview with SOD. MacMullen expressed her mixed emotions upon hearing Duell’s decision to leave the role of Michael.

She felt a sense of loss at saying goodbye to her friend on set—especially since Duell’s playful spirit brought so much joy behind the scenes. But she also recognized the importance of him following his own path, and  ultimately, MacMullen understood that Duell needed to prioritize what was best for him.

Katelyn MacMullen expressed that Chad Duell’s exit from the show still feels surreal to her. This sentiment might stem from the fact that GH has not cast a new actor for Michael, and Duell has shown interest in possibly returning. “I think it’s more of a temporary situation,” MacMullen shared- “I’m not allowing myself to think that I’ll never see him around here again.  I’m holding onto the hope that we will cross paths once more.”

No matter what happens with Chad Duell and his role as Michael, MacMullen made it clear that she is fully supportive of him and wishes him immense success in whatever comes next.
