Sally is involved with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). That odd couple happened because the potentially reforming Chadam betrayed both people.

Sally’s threat to Chelsea may rest with the connection with Billy flows. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) just turned down Billy’s offer to help him bring Victor down. If Phyllis reverses course, she and Billy could become involved, leaving Sally single.

Phyllis confirmed Adam’s existence when he was assumed dead. Victor tapped Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as a successful conduit. She engineered his return to Genoa City, Wisconsin.
There have been attempts at reunions with Chelsea since Vegas. One ended with Adam using Sharon to accelerate Chelsea’s recovery from paralysis and mute status. Egan’s character retaliated by trying to kill Adam.
Naturally, Chelsea is leery of Adam’s current fresh start claim. But there’s also no doubt that these two people love each other and are motivated by their son’s best interests.
